Carolyn is an Associate in the EU, Competition and Regulatory Department in the Glasgow office. She studied law at Glasgow University, spending a short time at the University of North Carolina as part of her degree and trained with Maclay Murray & Spens, qualifying in 2003.

Carolyn specialises in regulatory law, in particular in the water, energy and postal sectors, power and utilities projects and various aspects of EU and competition law including cartel investigations, distribution and supply agreements, merger control, public procurement and state aid.

Highlights have included advising Postcomm on the successful defence of an appeal by Royal Mail in the Court of Appeal and advising a new entrant to the newly liberalised water supply market.
