Chris is the firm's Chief Executive, having previously served as a member of the partnership board. He is responsible for both the strategic and operational management of the firm, ensuring that appropriate people, plans and processes are in place to enable the organisation to achieve its business goals. This includes keeping under constant review the direction, structure and agreed objectives of the firm whilst developing and implementing the right business strategies.

Chris previously headed up the English Planning and Environmental team based in the London office. He has extensive experience across the full spectrum of planning and environmental matters including applications, appeals, enforcement, waste management licensing and contaminated land.

Chris has particular expertise in inquiry advocacy and was responsible for leading the Department's UK-wide contentious planning practice. He has represented clients in both the private and public sectors at major planning inquiries and development plan examinations and has dealt with a number of high profile judicial review applications.
