Colin is a Partner in the Banking & Finance Department based in our London office. He trained with Maclay Murray & Spens, originally joining in September 1999, and worked in the Banking & Finance team until May 2004. Colin then worked in the London office of Dickson Minto W.S. until rejoining Maclay Murray & Spens in August 2010.

Colin is qualified in Scots and English law and has extensive experience advising borrowers and lenders in relation to acquisition finance, corporate restructurings, project finance and general corporate banking. Colin has particular expertise in relation to the finance aspects of private equity and MBO transactions and has acted for a number of leading sponsor institutions and banks in the UK and European buy-out markets on transactions covering a wide variety of sectors.
