Craig trained with MMS and qualified into the Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Edinburgh, where he worked for two years before cross-qualifying as a solicitor in England and moving to our London office. Craig has acted in commercial disputes across a range of sectors, often involving an international dimension, with recent instructions coming from a diverse range of jurisdictions including Japan, Australia, Singapore, Hungary and Saudi Arabia. In addition to High Court litigation, Craig acts in cases involving institutional arbitration and mediation. He is regularly instructed in disputes in the financial services sector, with recent work including:
- Acting both for and against authorised corporate directors and investment managers in a variety of funds disputes
- Advising a tax and wealth management advisory company on a series of claims from disgruntled investors domiciled in a variety of jurisdictions
- Acting for an insurer in respect of a series of linked FOS complaints arising from an insurance backed financial product, and advising on related claims of the insurer against an investment manager
- Advising a fund underwriting a proportion of the losses of a participant on a syndicate at Lloyd's in respect of a dispute with that participant
- Acting for numerous clients with claims to client money and client assets in the special administration of MF Global UK Limited.
He is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association, the Financial Services Lawyers Association and the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.
