David, who studied law at Strathclyde and Oxford universities, is an associate in our EU, Competition and Regulatory Department, based in Glasgow. He joined Maclay Murray & Spens on qualification as an assistant solicitor in 2000.

David has experience of a broad range of competition and regulatory issues, with particular emphasis on advising on cartel investigations (EU and UK), OFT and CC merger inquiries, competition compliance and agency / distribution agreements. He also has an extensive practice in the area of public procurement. He is a member of the editorial board of the Public Procurement Law Review and writes extensively in this field. David also speaks fluent Spanish.
