Fiona trained with MMS and qualified into the Housing and Care team in September 2010. She assists the Housing and Care team with a number of property related matters. In particular, Fiona works on development transactions and charging work, as well as a number of other files.

Recently Fiona has been involved in charging transactions for a number of associations, preparing certificates of title for street properties, housing schemes and hostel buildings, liaising with Councils and negotiating with the lenders’ solicitors. Fiona also works with lenders providing them with reviews of certificates of title, advice and reviews and consents for unusual borrower tenancies, leases or other matters requiring consent under loan agreements.

Fiona also assists on development work, in particular she has recently provided advice in relation to the acquisition and development of a site acquired using the local authorities compulsory purchase powers. She has also negotiated a number of conditional agreements for the acquisition of development sites and worked on s.106 Schemes and mixed use schemes. Fiona is also competent at working with other departments across the firm and is currently involved in a company acquisition of a land holding company.

Fiona also provides advice on outright sales, including those subject to tenancies, to clients to allow the progress asset disposal programmes. She also provides advice on tenancy agreements, easements and statutory agreements, such as s.38 Agreements.
