Katie is a Senior Solicitor in our Employment Team based in our Glasgow office and specialises in employment law. She is experienced in advising a wide range of clients on all aspects of employment law. On a day to day basis she supports and advises employer clients on legal and practical aspects of Human Resources queries such as recruitment and retention, best practice, employment documentation (including restrictive covenants), disciplinary matters involving conduct and capability and arrangements on employee termination. Katie advises clients in relation to corporate sales and acquisitions and has advised on a variety of outsourcing contracts. Katie appears in the Employment Tribunal on behalf of both employer and individual clients. In addition, Katie has also acted for a client at a very successful Judicial Mediation which is a new procedure introduced by the Employment Tribunal Service to try and ensure the best resolution of a dispute for all parties involved.

Katie also advises individual clients on employment terms and conditions, restrictive covenants, different strategic approaches to managing potential conflicts and employment tribunal claims. As part of this Katie has been directly involved in mediation/settlement meetings.

Katie provides training on a range of employment related areas, including absence management and handling redundancies.
