Laura Morrison is an associate specialising in employment law and is based in our Edinburgh office. Laura joined the firm as a trainee in 2003 and qualified in 2005. She is experienced in advising private and public sector employers, as well as individual clients, on the full range of employment issues. Laura provides practical advice on the management of day to day HR issues as well as strategic advice on organisational change and restructuring. She regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal in England and Scotland and has also appeared in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Laura also has experience of the use of mediation as an alternative means of resolving employment disputes.

Laura has a particular interest in immigration issues and advises clients on obtaining sponsor licences and recruiting non-EEA nationals, as well as preventing illegal working. She also advises individuals on obtaining/extending permission to work in the UK.
