Malcolm trained with MMS and has worked in our Commercial Dispute Resolution department since qualifying as a solicitor in 2002. In 2007 he returned to Aberdeen to establish the CDR team in our Aberdeen office.

Malcolm has a very broad range of experience in handling general commercial litigation in the Sheriff Courts and Court of Session. Having worked in our Edinburgh office Malcolm is well placed to run Court of Session litigations from Aberdeen. He has particular expertise in dealing with international cross-border disputes and cases with the application of a foreign law or a multi-jurisdictional element. Malcolm also has substantial experience in the resolution of shareholder disputes, allegations of fraud, complex contractual claims and disputes arising out of franchise agreements.

Malcolm is responsible for MMS' Health & Safety practice. He is experienced in advising clients on a wide range of Health & Safety matters having been invovled in cases involving offshore and onshore fatalities, HSE investigations into workplace accidents, representing clients in prosecutions for breaches of health & safety legislation and providing day to day advice to clients in a wide range of industries on their health & safety duties and responsibilities. Malcolm also regularly provides training to our clients in relation to changes in health & safety law.
