Michael is the head of our corporate recovery and restructuring team and is based in Glasgow. The corporate recovery and restructuring team advises banks and other lenders, insolvency practitioners and the boards of companies facing financial difficulties on issues varying from enforcement strategies to corporate structuring to formal insolvency proceedings; recent high profile cases include the administration of the Kilmartin Property Group and a number of other significant property companies, acting for KPMG as special administrators of Dunfermline Building Society, the acquisition from administrators of a number of large high street retail chains including Jane Norman and Peacocks – the restructuring of housebuilder Cala and the liquidation and sale of oil services support group OMM.

Michael is a member of the firm's Corporate Recovery Group.
