George Pennel is an associate based in our Edinburgh office. He deals with contentious and non-contentious issues for both corporate and individual clients and appears regularly in the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. George specialises in unfair dismissals, the corporate aspects of TUPE, redundancies, restrictive covenants and commercial litigation. He is also qualified as a Master Mariner and served in the Merchant Navy where he had command of a variety of ships trading worldwide. He maintains his interest in shipping and is part of the firms' specialist shipping litigation team dealing with arrestments and recall of arrestments, cargo disputes and salvage claims.
