Claire McKee is a Senior Solicitor in the Employment, Pensions & Immigration team. Claire joined the firm in March 2010 as an experienced Employment Law Paralegal. Claire then trained with the firm between August 2012 and August 2014. Whilst advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment issues, Claire specialises in advising clients on contentious employment, discrimination and equal pay matters. She appears before the Employment Tribunal in Scotland and England on a regular basis. Recent Employment Tribunal successes have included early strike out of an indirect sex discrimination claim; dismissal of a complex holiday pay/working time claim and dismissal of allegations of race discrimination complaints. Claire also designs, develops and carries out in house training for clients including interactive seminars. Claire has recently gained experience working in-house for a local authority client on secondment.
Claire is the Treasurer of the Scottish Discrimination Law Association; a Board Member of Graphic Enterprise Scotland, the Trade Association for Print Employers in Scotland and a Board Member of Turning Point Scotland, a charity which provides person centred support to adults with a range of complex needs. Since April 2015 Claire has acted as Assistant Editor and Research Assistant on the 3rd Edition of Employment Tribunal Practice in Scotland (Simon and Taggart), the only distinctly Scottish reference work of its kind.
