Our Oil & Gas Unit offers a North Sea and international transactional service, covering all aspects of upstream practice, including licensing, acquisitions, unitisation, transportation agreements and gas sales. The Oil and Gas team also has extensive oil service contracting experience and is actively engaged in assisting British oil service companies internationalise; particularly to Central Asia, West Africa and Latin America.
The firm’s Oil & Gas practice is led by well known upstream oil and gas lawyer Uisdean Vass based in our Aberdeen office. Uisdean, who holds an LLM in Oil and Gas from Louisiana State University, has twenty years’ oil industry experience, including the North Sea, Louisiana, Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil.
His many international connections and linguistic abilities (fluent in Spanish and Portuguese) bolster the services of the Oil and Gas Unit.
