As of the 17th of December 2007 MMS has a new home in Edinburgh – the iconic new development by Foster + Partners, at Quartermile One. The move, which will see MMS taking almost 50,000 sq ft of the landmark building to house its 200-strong Edinburgh team, comes after another record-breaking year for the firm, marked by a leap in profits, rising staff numbers and a number of prestigious industry awards.

In common with the firm’s City base at One London Wall, the striking new building at Quartermile was designed by the visionary architects at Foster + Partners. Since signing up as the development’s anchor tenant earlier this year, MMS has worked in partnership with developers and designers to create an inspiring and motivational workspace. The stunning interior design and fitout was developed by Gillian Stewart of design consultancy DEGW.

Chief Executive, Magnus Swanson said: "This is a very significant day for the Edinburgh practice and the entire firm. Tailored around the needs of both our clients and staff, the new offices provide excellent facilities, a superb working environment and a base for continued expansion in the capital. Lifestyle considerations – such as Quartermile’s retail and leisure facilities and proximity to the city centre and The Meadows – will also help keep us ahead in the war for talent, which is an ongoing feature of the legal marketplace.”
