Gordon is a partner in the Corporate Department in Aberdeen. He joined Maclay Murray & Spens in May 2007 from the Aberdeen firm, Iain Smith & Co, where he was a partner for 10 years. During his time at Iain Smith & Co, he was closely involved in building the firm's corporate and commercial practice into one of the most respected in the North East of Scotland. He has extensive experience in acquisitions, disposals and MBOs, particularly in the oil and gas, maritime and aqua-culture sectors. He is also accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in insolvency law and has advised in a number of high profile cases.
