Joanna qualified in 1988 having completed her articles at Joynson Hicks (now Taylor Wessing). For five and a half years, she worked as an assistant in their Company Commercial Department. In February 1994, she joined the Corporate team at the City Law Partnership where she became an Associate in November 1994 and a Partner on 1 May 1998. She joined Maclay Murray & Spens as a partner when the firms merged in November 2004. Joanna is a senior corporate Lawyer with a very broad corporate practice but with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. Her clients include public companies (both on the main market and AIM) and private companies and entrepreneurs. She has experience in a number of sectors but particularly restaurants, pubs and wine bars
