We only accept applications submitted using the MMS application form. Our recruitment process is very personal with emphasis on finding the right trainees for the Firm. During the interviews we will take the time to find out about you as a person as well as your future career aspirations.

2011 Traineeships

Scotland

  • First class communication skills - the ability to get on with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Ability to operate under pressure in a team environment
  • A sense of humour

Interview Process

In Scotland, selected graduates will be invited for initial interviews which will take place in October and November in one of our Scottish offices.

In London, initial interviews will take place during August and September.

Following this, a number of candidates will be invited to attend a second interview with 2 Partners, where they will also complete a roleplay and research exercise. Offers will be made to the successful candidates very soon after the second interview.

Interview Advice

Make sure you have a good background knowledge of the firm. Have you seen our corporate brochure, trainee brochure etc? If not, please request the information you require by emailing [email protected].

Prospective trainees at MMS will:

  • Be prepared
  • Think about the questions that will be asked and also have their own questions to ask
  • Give themselves plenty of time to arrive for the interview and allow for possible delays
  • Present a professional image ensuring they are smartly turned out
  • Answer questions positively
  • Speak clearly
  • Ask if they are not sure about something
  • Try to appear confident however nervous they feel!
  • Have achieved a 2:1 or greater in their Honours degree
