Our Construction & Engineering Department comprises lawyers solely devoted to construction work and who act for a variety of developers, contractors, consultants, employers, housing associations and lenders in this area.
We have extensive experience in identifying the areas where disputes may arise and, by preparing for such situations at the outset of a project, we aim to reduce the likelihood of costly disputes at a later stage. Our construction procurement team are regularly involved in drafting and negotiating contracts on a wide range of projects in the retail, leisure, office, warehouse and housing sectors amongst others.
We also have a team of lawyers who devote their energies full time to resolving construction and engineering disputes and we regularly use negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings to resolve clients’ disputes. A highly commercial approach is taken, applying the deeply specialised knowledge and experience necessary for successful resolution of construction and engineering disputes.
